These terms are an agreement between you and PriviSocial governing your use of the PriviSocial app and privisocial.com. By creating an account you accept them.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18. During our city-by-city rollout, access requires an invitation. Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. One account per person; no impersonation.
2. Your content
You own what you post. You grant PriviSocial a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your content within the service so the app can function (e.g., showing your message in a venue chat to the people your visibility setting allows). You can delete your content, and deleting your account removes it from the live service.
3. Community rules — zero tolerance for objectionable content
PriviSocial has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Do not post content that is illegal, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or that infringes others' rights or privacy; do not spam, scam, or attempt to deanonymize or stalk other users. We provide tools to report content, block users (mutual, server-enforced), and hide messages; reported content is reviewed and actioned promptly — typically within 24 hours — and uploaded media passes automated moderation. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, at our discretion, without notice.
4. Be safe, be real
PriviSocial shows real people at real places. Use judgment about what you share and when; never use the app while driving; drink responsibly and only if you're of legal age. Venue information (hours, events, prices) comes from venues and public sources and may be inaccurate — confirm before you rely on it. You are responsible for your in-person interactions.
5. The service
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may update the app automatically. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind; to the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to $100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
6. Termination
You can stop using PriviSocial and delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or harm the service or its users.
7. App Store
The app is distributed through the Apple App Store; Apple's standard licensed application terms apply to the app binary, and Apple is a third-party beneficiary of this section with the right to enforce it. Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support and is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the app.
8. General
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, USA, excluding conflict-of-law rules. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may update these terms; material changes will be noted in the app, and continued use constitutes acceptance.
